What this site is
reportingtoincompetence.com is the companion site to the book Reporting to Incompetence by Darin R. Molnar. It is operated by Shoreline Consulting LLC, a Washington limited liability company. Nothing is sold here — the book is bought from Amazon, under Amazon’s terms, not ours.
The book is not advice
The book and this site are for information and education. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical, human-resources, or professional advice, and reading it creates no professional relationship of any kind. Employment law varies enormously by jurisdiction, and situations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, safety, or contract disputes need a qualified professional in your own country and state.
No outcome is promised. The material comes from research and four decades of practice, but your organization, your manager, and your circumstances are yours.
The Incompetence Audit
The audit is a prompt for thought, not an assessment of anyone. It runs entirely in your browser, scores itself with a simple arithmetic rule, and has not been clinically validated for anything. Do not use its output as evidence about another person, and do not treat a low score as proof that nothing is wrong.
